The purpose of this study is to develop a scale how people express their gratitude to the person arising that emotion. For that purpose, two seperate studies were conducted. In the first study (N=281), in order to identify gratitude expression style, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was applied. Results of the EFA indicated that some expression styles predicted by a priori, differed and some of them got clustered into categories. The values for subscales related to gratitude expression styles, the findings related to internal consistency, test retest reliability and criterion validity results indicated that styles of gratitude expressions were statistically significant. According to Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) of second study (N=406), factorial structure of Gratitude Expression emerged in EFA was confirmed. Findings of the second study revealed that Gratitude Expression Scale has three components, one factor structure. In addition, both subscale scores and total score can be used for the respective studies will be conducted separately.
